mahali
Mahli is a Shilpi tribe of Jharkhand, which is considered skilled and proficient in the art of bamboo. At present Mahli is found in Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Singhbhum, Santhal Pargana, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad etc. Outside Jharkhand, there is a small population in Purnia district too. Sporadically, other districts are also found.
