Maal pahadiya

The Maal pahadiya are one of the two major branches of Paharia, Paharia caste. The second branch is called the Solariya Paharia or Malerar. Due to beef eaters by Sauria, they are considered as impure, and the maal pahadiya see them in the bad eyes. Roti-daughter's relationship between them is forbidden. Kumar Part Paharia is considered as a subclass of the goods mountain. Though there  is also a marriage between the Paharia and Kumar Part Paharia, even then at the anthropologists and government level, Kumar Part Paharia is not kept under the tribe. In the official notification, they were left in the backward class.
