KORA
Kora is a scheduled tribe of Jharkhand. In the first census of 1872, eighteen tribes were listed, in which there was no blank. Kora was inducted into the Tribal List of 1931 census. Kora in Jharkhand is found mainly in the districts of Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Singhbhum and Santhal Paragana. They also meet in the districts of Ranchi, Lohardaga, Mumla-Simdega and Palamu. Kora is found in Bihar's Munger, Jamui and Katihar districts. Apart from this, Kora also comes in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The word derived from the word Kora is said by the word Konda, which means that the cutting and cutting of the soil and their traditional occupation have to be dirt. Rijale has told Kora a branch of Munda group. Rijale has mentioned many reports regarding their origins, for which the words of Kiyora, Kher or Khaya have also been used by Rijale who are considered to be Dravid caste as soil cutting and farming.
